When you are trying to keep yourself from wrong thinking, it is called cognitive behavior therapy. Cognitive behavior therapy is designed to give you back control of your life and change the unhealthy lifestyle that you have. Based upon research, cognitive behavior therapy is the most effective way to deal with panic and anxiety attacks.

When someone is overcome with fear, their body reacts to the fear as if it were a physical thing. If you fear that you will be in a car accident, then your body will use adrenaline to respond it. If you were actually about to be in a car accident, your body would give you enough energy to where you could try to get away from the harm and keep yourself safe. It is a good thing that the body does this, and it is considered a healthy response. When you are anxious all of the time because of something that is not happening, that is considered an unhealthy response.

Everyone has fear that is expressed through them. People fear all kinds of things so it is not uncommon for someone to fear something that might not seem rational to you. Some people fear spiders, while others like them. Because of this, you cannot categorize one fear as unhealthy and another as healthy. The different categories are based on whether they fear controls your life or not. If you allow this fear to control your outlook on life and you life in general, then it is considered unhealthy.

Cognitive behavior therapy for panic and anxiety is used to help you from letting these worries become unhealthy. It is supposed to let you get your mind back on track so you can get back to your normal, healthy life. For cognitive behavior therapy to work, you must be able to understand what is causing you to have the thoughts and worries that you are experiencing. You might need to look back through some recent events in your life to see it, but it is something that should be done.

Everyone has their own beliefs of what is good and what is bad and when that gets mixed up, then you may have a problem. If you got bit by a dog as a child and it causes you to be scared of dogs for the rest of your life, then that could be a problem. You need to be able to control your fears and get a grip on them. If someone you know wants you to go to the pound with them to pick out a puppy, you may have a fear of what could happen, even though nothing has and may not. Using cognitive behavior therapy can help to get your through this.

Cognitive behavior therapy for panic and anxiety attack is not always the solution for everyone, but it may be the solution for you. It never hurts to give it a try, and you never know, it could help you to face your anxiety.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a counseling technique that is used by many clinical psychologists, psychiatrists and counselors. The therapy is based around helping you understand, manage and change your thoughts (cognitions) and actions (behavior).
