What are Panic Anxiety Attacks

When people hear of panic anxiety attacks, they normally do not know what all it entails. A panic attack is when you have sudden overwhelming fear and worry that comes without warning and without any obvious reason. You may experience one when you are sitting in the movie theater, driving down the road, or even just sitting in your own house.

A panic attack can be set off by extreme anxiety. Anxiety is a feeling that we can encounter when we are stressed out, or just have a lot going on with life. It is not necessarily a bad thing to feel, if it remains within ones control. You can experience anxiety from a multitude of things, ranging from being late for work to the death of a close friend or family member. Some things that cause anxiety can be inevitable, and that is why it is important to learn how to cope with them.


You can experience anxiety without it being a real problem, until it consumes your life. Anxiety can get to the point where it makes your life hard to live, and when you get to that point, you should seek help. Severe anxiety can make it difficult for you to cope with and that can impair your ability to make decisions about how to handle certain situations.

When you experience an anxiety attack, you may feel like you are having a heart attack. That feeling is not uncommon but it does not mean that you should just brush the feeling aside. Since anxiety can make it difficult for you to breathe and can cause chest pains, it is important that you seek assistance as soon as you start to experience an anxiety attacks.

How do you know if you are experiencing one? You can suffer from a multitude of mental and physical symptoms and it can last from just a few seconds, to an hour or so. Some symptoms of a panic attack include:

• Shortness of breath
• Chest pain
• Headaches
• Nausea
• Dizziness
• Racing heartbeat
• Terror
• Fear of dying
• Flushes or chills
• Tingling or numbness
• Feelings of unreality
• Fear of losing control or doing something embarrassing

Panic anxiety disorder is often accompanied by other conditions such as depression and may spawn phobias, which can develop in places or situations where panic attacks have occurred. For example, if a panic attack strikes while you’re riding an elevator, you may develop a fear of elevators and perhaps start avoiding them.

It is important that you are aware of the risks of not seeking help if you are experiencing a panic anxiety attack. In severe cases, people who experience panic anxiety attacks feel like they are having a heart attack. This feeling happens because adrenaline goes through your veins and increases your blood supply. It is very important that if you feel this way you seek immediate help.

The thing to realize is that all you need to cure panic anxiety attacks, is someone to guide you in the right direction.
